Building The Next Generation Radio Production Service

Seamless Library is a production service for a freelance radio producer. The primary goal of the service was to weekly send crafted song transitions to its subscribers and later on to have paid subscribers for the service. A secondary goal was to create the brand and the overall visual language.

The challenge for the project was to design the right brand, logo, and other visual information that helps define the purpose, brand language, and services of Seamless Library. For overcoming this challenge, I used competitive analysis and persona development, with the great help of the shareholder.

I used competitive research to brainstorm the persona and used the project goals and purpose as a starting point. I also leveraged stakeholders for more information on who they believe their customer base will be.

Personas

Navigation and wireframes

For the UI prototyping and testing of the project navigation, we used Microsoft Excel where we created all the wireframes. Excel proved as a perfect tool where you can easily add drawing shapes, text, icons, form controls and place them on the grid layout to give perfect alignment and look.

Subscription flow

The business model was based on acquiring new subscribers an incentive to try out Sonik Media's main service for songs and song transitions — which offered free audio demos and later discounts for the first months. Thus, the subscribe feature was added on every page and end-user had to enter only an e-mail to subscribe and receive free demos on their e-mail addresses.

For the high-fidelity prototype and building the site, I used Squarespace. Squarespace was ideal for creating the website in a short period of time and establishing brand identity in the market.
